Junaid provided IT support to field offices in South America and the Middle East. Junaid was responsible for all communications equipment from fax machines to data terminals and switches.
Junaid is a member of OODA, which is composed of veterans who have made technical contributions to US national security. OODA provides risk management services to Global 100 corporations.

Junaid Islam has long blended technology leadership with civic and humanitarian service. In 2002, he joined the Human Relations Commission of Santa Clara County, ultimately serving as its Chair from 2007 to 2009—a leading local civic body addressing equity, inclusion, and community cohesion in Silicon Valley. Junaid provided computer training programs for orphans at École Le Bon Semeur in Port‑au‑Prince, Haiti, helping bridge the digital education gap for vulnerable youth
